In the fall of 2009, guitarists John P. and Matt Z. were sold fake tickets to a Metallica concert. Angered but moved, the duo decided to form their own metal band in New York City. John quickly discovered the talented and like-minded singer Jack Hope and bassist Ben Souder, who had journeyed from Washington DC with just a suitcase and a bass to find success in New York.
